BYU Lacrosse and a beautiful night in D.C.

Saturday we drove to Baltimore to watch the BYU Lacrosse team play Villanova and Washington College. Unfortunately they did not win, but they were great games anyway, and Bryson loved seeing his old coaches and other Lacrosse Alumni at the game. The weather was perfect and although we were outside in the sun much of the day, Danny seemed to enjoy the trip. Danny is much more excited about his toy than the game.

Fast asleep during the game.

Cheering on the team.

Sunday night we drove into D.C. with Shannon, Kevin, and Jordan to see some of the sights of the city.

Danny checking out the White House.

All six of us in front of the White House.
At sunset we went down to the Potomac River. Bryson held Danny near the water and together they watched the planes flying into Reagan National Airport. Danny was facinated by them- it was so cute!! He had the best night with his dad.

Potomac Falls

One of my favorite parts of Bryson's house is that the Potomac Falls and C & O Canal are a short hike from his backyard. It was a beautiful fall day on Sunday so we decided to take Danny to go see the awesome sight along with Shannon, Kevin, Jordan, Elyse, and Frank (although I do not have pictures of them on this blog- but they were there!). I am not sure how much he loved the scenery, but he really seemed to enjoy sucking on his Baby Bjorn (a favorite pastime of his).

Danny has found his voice

So Danny has finally figured out that he can make noise. Our once quiet little baby now has this loud, very high pitched little voice. I obviously have no idea what he was saying, but whatever it was, he really wanted us to listen. He is also mastering the trick of talking with his whole fist in his mouth- a very impressive talent!

I hate shots!

I think it was harder on me than it was for Daniel when he got his 4 month shots this week. I teared up when the nurse told me that I had to hold his arms down while she gave him three shots in his little thighs. Of course Daniel cried and cried afterwards, but fell asleep and woke up a few hours later very happy. He still had his little band-aides on his chubby legs that night, so I had to take a few pictures since they looked so cute.
Daniel weighed in at 16 pounds 8oz and is now 26 3/4 inches long! I cannot believe how much he has grown!!!

The two boys

We have been in D.C. for two weeks now while Bryson is doing a plastic surgery rotation at Georgetown, and it has been nothing but baby fun with the two boys, Daniel and Jordan. It has been so wonderful spending this time with Jordan and Shannon- I love them both so much!
One of our favorite activities is doing 'baby model shoots'. We love to dress these guys up and snap away with our cameras. Here are some of my favorite photos so far:

4 Months!!!!

On October 1 Danny turned 4 months old! It is amazing how much he has grown, learned, and developed in such a short amount of time. I want to share with you some of his more recent accomplishments:

He can make very large poops on a daily basis that get all over his clothes

He does a very good frog impersonation

He manages to make both scared and happy faces at any given time

He has the skills of a regular Houdini when it comes to getting out of his blankets after being swaddled at night

And he makes his mom completely melt every time he looks at her with his big blue eyes
