Our Match Letter arrived and we are moving to......

Rochester NY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bryson and I are so so so excited for this new adventure. The Plastic Surgery Program there is phenomenal. The best part of it all is that Bryson will only have to train for 5 years (there are only 5 Plastics program in the country that are 5 years, all the rest are 6 or 7 years long). We will be moving in the beginning of June. It will be very hard to say goodbye to the city, but Rochester here we come!!!!!

So excited to be the first to say YAY! :) CONGRATULATIONS! And I think there's a pretty decent-sized LDS physician (med student/residents) community up there! Residency is truly one of the best and worst experiences ever...but even after only 3 years I feel like it has transformed me into a better human being. We're so happy for you! XOXO

Jen, congratulations to you and Bryson on the excellent match! Mike's older brother's family was in Rochester for business school and LOVED the area. PLUS, you get to do your grocery shopping at Weggman's! Kick up your heels and celebrate!

Congrats on matching. I am sure you will love Rochester just as much as you do NYC...well at least eventually. How fun to have a new adventure in life. That is wonderful that you have a shorter residency there! Congrats again...I guess little Daniel will now get to spend some time in NY since it seems like you have traveled constantly since he was born.

Wow! Congratulations! One of my good friends husbands did dental school in Rochester and they loved it.

I agree with Di that residency is one of the best and worst experiences. It will make you look back and really appreciate med school (the good old days). Call me on the days when you are really feeling like a lonely single mom-- chance are that I will be too.

Congrats! Really great news. A few years less spent in residency - sounds like a great thing!

Bryson and Jen - Melissa and Amber sent me to your blog. Rob and I were at the Jazz game with Melis and Kyle on Thursday and I wanted to say hi. Jen you don't know Rob and I, but we got your wedding invite. We went to school with Bryson and have known him since the Budge Boy days. Please tell him we say hi if he doesn't read this. Melis always tells me how great/sweet/beautiful you are - maybe someday we'll all get together. I know Melissa from high school and college and she was my maid of honor at our wedding. We also know Tyler, Dan, Randall - all the boys. Anyway, I wanted to say hi! Check out our blog gardnergab.blogspot.com or our email is sabrinagardner@mac.com.
