One of my favorite parts of the day is when he wakes up. He lights up when I open the door to his room, stands up, claps, giggles, and falls down. It is the best way to start the day. He also loves to cuddle in the morning. For the first 30 minutes after I pull his little warm body out of bed, we sit on couch together and read or just hang out.

Time flies by when you are having fun, and Daniel and I have TONS of fun. He is a great little guy, very active, and strong willed, but such a sweet baby. He is bubbly, friendly, and always excited about something. I call him my little jibber jabber because he talks all day long. I only comprehend about 1/4 of what he is saying, but I love hearing his little falsetto voice echoing through the house.
Here are some of his current loves:
Slides (climbing up them)
His blanket(s) that his Grandma made for him. She made 3 b/c he has to be holding one at all times.
Pretending to drive the car
Car keys (he lost mine this week and we could not find them for 2 whole days)
All kitchen utensils
Riding behind me on my bike
Here are the words that he loves to say:
Turtle (we have no idea where this one came from)
'Its a.. (then he adds whatever word he wants)!'
I know say this about EVERY stage, but this one seems to be the best so far. I cannot wait to see what the next few months have in store for us!
I am off to London on the 23rd, and I can hardly contain my excitement. I am going with my mom and brother as a sort of last hurrah for Nick before he heads to the freezing Gobi dessert of Mongolia for 2 years. I wish the whole family could go, but Steph is in school, Luke is involved in a few activities, Katy is a busy mom to a tot and a newborn, my dad is working, and of course, Bryson will be in the hospital. Daniel will be staying with my mother-in-law in D.C., so it will just be the 3 of us, and it is going to be a blast. I studied a semester abroad in London and have dreamt of returning for over 6 years. I am dying to stroll past Buckingham palace, to punt on the cam at Cambridge, to view the dazzling jewels at the tower of London, and to hit up Harrods for a little shopping. Despite living there for 4 1/2 months, I cannot remember everything we did and would love to get your input as to what we should see while we are there. I know you probably have some great ideas!!
p.s.- for those of you who were in London with me, of course I am going to visit 27 Palace Court! I am hoping to see Tony and Tina!! Maybe she will make me some of the banana dessert that I still sometimes crave.
